At Pittsburgh Prep, our goal is to turn students into academic leaders by providing comprehensive instruction, a nurturing environment, and testing expertise. In the past, traditional high schools and official testing companies like College Board or ACT would give out practice questions and try to explain them. This was helpful, but for serious pupils who wish to improve their grades, it was not sufficient. The official College Board and ACT study guides are an integral component of any study program, but they aren't enough alone. Our process is atypical in that we think powerful critical thinking, competitive test scores, and lifelong learners form the basis of our mission. We don't teach our pupils to "pass the test" and never resort to shortcuts—instead, we teach them the skills they need to succeed in all standard tests
